goodbye indoorvillage april 6, 2002

After countless hours spend converting a giant, empty loft-space into a two storey four bedroom apartment (affectionately know to all as the IndoorVillage), I'm moving out. A friend of mine is moving out of his loft on Bowery & Grand and I've decided to take his place.

Before I pack all my stuff up, I wanted to document how bitching the place turned out. Keep in mind, when we moved in, there wasn't anything in here...it was just a big empty room.

Here's my room. How fly are those recessed bookshelves. Those motherfuckers took me longer than anything else in the house.

My modular CD rack / Closet cubby was built in my friend John's bitching-ass furniture studio and then assembled here. (thanks john!)

This was taken from the other corner of my room. We built all the bedrooms relatively small (11' x 12').

Here's Barlow's crazy-ass room. (Across the hall from my bedroom).

Check out the diamonds on the wall...that's not wallpaper, he hand painted all those!

Here's our kitchen (still not finished).

This was taken from right out side my room. Those glow lights and our little computer nook (above the exit sign) over looks the kitchen.

Off the kitchen (and to the left of my bedroom) is the Tikki Living room.

View of the kitchen from the top of the stairs outside Amy's room.

The spiral staircase and skylight (taken from the hallway outside Barlow and my bedrooms).

Another skylight shot.

An "artsier" one I took from the computer nook on the second floor.

Interior shot of the Tikki Living room.

How fresh is that sunset mural?

Our bathroom.

Amy's room.

Hallway outside of Amy's room leading to the upstairs living room and Dzija's room.

Those two windows are the exterior of my bedroom (this photo was taken from the top of the slide at the corner of the Front Room. Yes, there's a slide in our front room. No, don't ask.)

Half of the Front Room, aka - The Random Shit Found on the Street Room (taken from the balcony of the upstairs Living Room).

Other half of the Front Room, taken from the slide. I'm so out of here it's not even funny...
