moving day april 14, 2002

With only two weeks notice *doh!*, I manged to find a subletter to take over my room in the Indoorvillage. With my room completely empty, it was time to drop my stuff over at Brian Chamber's place, my new place, then help him get moved into his new waterfront place in the West Village
.

My clean and empty old room in the Indoorvillage.

Damn, those bookshelves were fresh.

"Yep, it's empty."

1) My old place 100 Freeman Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
2) My new place (Brian Chamber's old place) at 105 Bowery (between Hester and Grand).
3) Brian Chamber's new place at Horatio and the West Side Highway.

Grant and Josh earned the friendship bracelets I made them for helping me move. These are two swell friends.

We tried to pose all tough and look like movers from the 1930's. I think the only thing that happened is that Grant managed to look like an ostrich.

My new bedroom.

Driving cross-town in the Ryder truck.

Brian's entire new apartment (which is about the same size as the room pictured above). But hey, he does have a waterfront view (and like 200,000 hot girls who live in his fancy new building).

After getting Brian settled in, Mark had to pick up this life-sized painting a friend did of Mark with a giant boner. She says it's called "Virile Poet." I get chills just looking at it. (Actual boner digitally enlarged 2.8x for your enjoyment).

It's just like the Abbey Road album cover (except for the, um, huge painting of the gay poet with the giant boner).
