first misshapes 2005

january 8, 2005

There's not going to be much of a narrative on this one. Had a nice mellow Saturday and then a whole bunch of us headed over to Josh's apartment to have some food, watch a movie and get our warm-up drink on to prepare for the first Misshapes of the year.

The usual Satruday brunch at Clinton St Bakery with Sarah and Meredith.

Sarah showing off her newly shorn sides!

Then this is pretty much what I saw for the next oh, saaaaay, about eight straight hours. Knights of the Old Republic II! (Nerds, lemme hear you say "awww, yeah.") Eventually, Meredith managed to distract me by...

...putting on make-up and a slutty booby shirt. Hot damn! And we headed right around the corner to Pianos...

...to celebrate the release of Leah's book of illustrations:

"Holy Moly."

Susan and a friend of hers that was in town visiting.

Nina and Meredith.

After the party, Meredith and I went west and headed over to...

Josh's apt.

Check out the rad view of the Empire State Building from Josh's living room window.

Capt. Bigbottle here was getting a little carried away with how he poured...

...other peoples' drinks. Jesus.

Josh had a nice spread of pizza and sushi!

I spend the next few hours watching Napolean Dynamite and annoying people with my camera.

Sarah.

Niki!

This pic's called "Sex-Cougar (w. Chopsticks)."

So this was also the night where I met the a special lady who's since become a dear freind to me, Ellen! (Who now has her very own photo site!)

Sarah, Niki ("Stop taking pictures while I'm eating!") and Ellen.

Niki (sans pizza!) and Ellen.

Texty Texterson the Migi-Mogul (that's where Mini meets Midget) is at it again. The minute she put those chopsticks down, she picked her leeetle friend right back up.

Surprised Meredith and Elhaam.

Me getting a close look at Niki's boobies.

Sarah and Mereidth looking scary.

Greg with the girl he was dating back then (who's way less cool than the girl he's dating these days).

Mer and Niki.

Ellen and John.

Bellies full and all buzzed up, we rallied and decided to head over to Misshapes.

Woo.

Sarah and Elhaam on the decks.

Me taking a picture of someone taking a picture of me.

Jenny and Alex Chow.

Pete! (Hey, remember when Pete stamped that French guy's face with a giant stamp when he was temporarily working the door at my birthday party a few years ago. Hahahah).

Me and Leigh.

Sandra.

Nick and his gf giving me the not-so-subtle "get a load of this guy."

Karen can't keep her hands off them things either.

Sheal and I: Misfits foreva.

I don't even remember who had this mask or where we found it - all I know is that it led to some pretty funny/creepy photos.

Smiley Mask.

Friendly Mask!

Holy weird! Creepy Mask!

Hahaha. It hates having the mask stolen!

Tinny and Sophia.

Forget Madonna! Isn't that motherfucking Jeff Garland from Curb Your Enthusiasm on the dancefloor?

Me wishing Ellen (my new friend!) goodnight.

Jeffery and Louise.

Tinny: Still voguing with the mask an hour later. Hahaha.

Sarah and Joe.

Christian.

Sheal again. This time abandoning her Misfits pose for her "attacking panda" pose. Noice.

Lauren Ashley and Geordon.

As the night pressed on, I eventually wandered downstairs to the little room.

I met this girl...

...and got a smooch!

When I came back even later on in the night - lookee what I found! Antony, Niki and Lizzy discussing the meaning of life...

...and redefining the term "wiggity wasted."

Hahaha. Check out Antony trying to play it all smoove.

Lizzy's realization that although it might take me over a year, one day, these pics would make there way to the national interweb.

The best part of Misshapes is after it's closed and they kick everyone out except for the totally wasted party people who still want to get their dance on and...

...the totally wasted people who are incapable of anything. Hahah.

"Houston, this is Command. We'll have touchdown in 5. 4. 3. 2 1...."

"Touchdown! Houston, I repeat. We have touchdown. Operation: Candlehead is a success." The other best part about Misshapes afterhours is that when no one's around you can always count on Geordon to do his impression...

...of a flamingo. Hahaha.

Awwww.

Then I walked home. The end!
