the april round up april 2005

Hey, hey! It's the April Round up! This one's sort of a mini-entry because on April 11th I left to spend a little over a month in Thailand. So this entry covers all the random photos up until I left on my trip.

Friday, April 1st

Late Thursday night (technically Friday already) Grant and I headed over to Motsuri to say hi to our friend Miye...

...and get some free grub! Wooooo! Check out the fancy desserts we scored!

The next night, I went to Sing Sing karaoke to celebrate...er, something. Anyone? Anyone? Here's Josh busting out some Sinatra.

Geordon, you minx.

Scott, Jordan and some girl whose name I can't remember.

I'm always amazed that no matter how much floor-writing he does, Geordon always manages to keep his pants looking so bright white!

Speaking of pants...Josh, pull 'em up.

Tee-hee.

Hey, check it out! Frosty, refreshing urinal handle! Yes!

Saturday, April 2nd

Awwww.

On Saturday we went somewhere Josh was DJing to say hi. Many of you don't know this, but when Josh DJs he insists that the management of the establishment provide him with...

...One (1) box of KFC Chicken (large). The only bad thing about the place was that it was filled with little penises.

No, I'm serious. See?

If you're not careful, they'll fuck you right in the ear!

As Grant is wont to do as well. Careful, Amanda!

Monday, April 4th

Remember how I bought Meredith an iPod for Christma...er, Hannukah? Well, she doesn't really use it. She does, however, still use her...

...portable AM/FM radio! Hahaha. WTF? (Meredith's defense: "Does your iPod get NPR? Don't think so!")

Monday night, we went to Bar Eleven to meet Josh's brother and sister who were in town.

Steve was there all just being normal, until my camera came out and then it was all "Woooooooooooo! Woooooo! Party faces! Party time!"

"Yeah! Fuck yeah, party! Party time!" And then I put my camera away and he went right back to his conversation all normal like nothing had just happened. True story.

Pete (of stamping other people's faces fame) was there.

Nadir and Karen (who, per usual, has a little bit o' orange SparksTongue peeking out).

I don't remember exactly why, but when I started taking pictures of Josh he started hysterically laughing, which made me laugh, which only made him laugh harder. So I did the only thing that made sense, I just kept laughing and snapping pictures of him laughing.

Here he is trying to stop laughing long enough to tell me to stop.

No such luck!

Hahaha.

Still going.

And...yes! Finally managed to catch his breath.

Karen & Josh.

Dance party!

Free drinks are a good thing. But sometimes free drinks are a very bad thing. Hello, there passed out girlfriend! How are you feeling?

Awwwwww. Pukey trash can!

Tuesday, April 5th

On Tuesday went over to listen in on Neil Perry recording Fiasco (the now infamous "lost sessions.")

And then I went over to the Mercury Lounge to see Rob's band.

Wednesday, April 6th

On Wednesday, April 6th, the only thing I did was go to White Castle with Grant. That is all.

Thursday, April 7th

On Thursday I had brunch with Sarah and then went to Chelsea to sit in and listen to...

...Fiasco rehearse.

Later that night I went to some party at Piano and found Antony (aka - Mr. Number Two) macking and relaxing in the corner with biddies!

Mike Dirnt was there and there were these two guys who were Green Day fans who wanted their pic with him but both of their cameras had died! So I took pics for them and emailed them. Mike was a super nice guy.

Who says punk is dead?

Karen and Ellen.

Bosch and Sarah.

Eve and Jamie!

Even and Jamie check out Merlin's handiwork.

Junior and Sarah.

Friday, April 8th

On Friday night, Fiasco rocked out at The Delancey

Then we went to Orchard Bar for some afterparty action. Joe, Niki, Mer and Karen on the decks (making her famous "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?" face).

Lorelei the Sexpert likely trying to ply some sex tips from Brandon the International Playboy (who you may remember as our host through parts of Eastern Europe!)

After closing down Orchard, we did some late night late night time at Cake Shop. Brandon and his ladyfriend.

Me and Amander.

Fatty and Grizz. You guys look a little too relaxed. Can I get a Hoagan flexdown?

That'll do it. Thanks.

Hahahaha. Mah-mah-macking.

On the way home, 5am there was a dude on the street with one of those snack wagons. Except instead of kababs or some such treat, this dude was making motherfucking S'MORES! Holy shit, does life get any better?

Saturday, April 9th

On Saturday Cat came over to Meredith's so she could take out her laptop and have a nerd-off. (Cat won because of her pink tennis visor).

I discovered that Meredith's pants fit me.

Although they kinda made my butt look flat. (I stole that pink alligator belt of hers permanently by the way. Hahaha. It's like 18 months later and I'm still wearing it as I type this! Sucka!)

Grant and I walked down to Amanda's and then when we were walking home we ran into the best bodega I've ever seen. Get ready....

...that's right! It's Mrs. Friggins' Kitchen! Hahaha.

Sunday, April 10th

On Sunday I had brunch with Niki, Meredith....

...and Karen (I have no idea where).

And then Fatty paid me my manager's share for Friday's Fiasco show. Afterwards I went back to Meredith's to pack my suitcuase (I was leaving for my month-long trip to Thailand the next day) when I got a call from Amy Albano! Kara Saks and her husband Tom were in town from Toronto and Amy was bringing them to the Magician right around the corner and asked if I wanted to meet them for a drink!

Yay! It's Amy!

Kara and Tom! (Hey, remember these guys' wedding?). That's pretty much it for April. Trip to Thailand, coming soon!
