Here are some random Saturday night pics from Movida and Misshapes.
So a whole bunch of us headed to Misshapes
to dance, but this was right around the time Misshapes started blowing up big
time (Madonna ended up DJing there the following week) and when we got there,
it was sooooo crowded that we said "fuck it" and decided to head across the street
to the short-lived Movida. A way lamer time, but at least there was room for
me and the gaggle of biddies I was with the shake our booties. Here's Gurj, Babbette
(who I'd just met that night) Sarah, Jenne and Lauren.
At some point in the night, I ended up wearing
this purple hat.
But I think it was only so I could momentarily
join Lauren in the Stupid Hat Club. Hahah.

An hour or two later, we figured that Misshapes had probably cleared out a bit
and decided to head back across the street to check it out. As I was crossing
the street, Tinny spotted us all coming out of Movida ("TRAITORS!!!!") and attacked!
There was finally room to dance upstairs!
Sean was DJing.
Tinny was standing around surprised.
Pete (The Face-Stamper!) was rocking a new 'stache.
And Sarah was sitting around just looking cute in general.

So Jenne and Gurj and I are dancing up a storm and then the next thing
we realized...
...a (very drunk) visitor boogied into our midst and...
...started gettin' fresh with us.
Gurj was scandalized.
So Jenne decided to show him how we do.
Hahaha. Then she stepped on his stomach.
Then I filled his bellybutton with beer. Hahah.
No matter how hard we tried, we couldn't seem to derail this man from
the Party Express.

After the place cleared out, we stuck around for a bit and had a danceparty!
