Saturday, October 29th

On Saturday afternoon I met up with the Fatty and we decided to hit the Halloween store and try to figure out what we wanted to dress up as. Here's Fatty trying to decide between outfits. In the end, he bought a shirt on St. Mark's Place that said something like "Fuck you, You Fucking Fuck" and decided that he was going to carry around his camera and be a "tourist visiting NYC."

Oh, apparently most tourists have black hair so he also bought hair dye and then we went back to his apartment and I helped him dye it.

Yep, there you go. Now you look like you're just visiting.

I decided that I was going to dress up as a mime...

...that just got his ass-kicked! Hahahah.

First I practiced my mime-moves.

Then I practiced my "You broke my mime-nose!" expressions.

Perfect!

Hahahah.

Later that night I went to a party down in Chinatown (right on the block where I used to live!) and met up with Fatty (dressed up as "Tourist Visiting New York"), Amanda (dressed up as Harajuku girl?) and...

...Grant, who was (predictibly) dressed up as a woman! The best part about Grant dressing in drag is that everyone thinks he's dressed up as...

Miyam Bialik (TV's Blossom!). Hahahah.

Making things even better (worse?), at the time, Grant was doing all kinds of body building because he was writing for Muscle and Fitness magazine. So he looked like if Miyam Bialik was a member of the Ukranian Women's Weightlifting Team.

Saucy!

Hahaha. Do you think we're sexy?

How 'bout now?

Grant and Amanda on the dance floor.

Two really cute girls dressed up as Pantone colors that I didn't even bother trying
to flirt with because...

...I looked like this.

Amanda didn't mind, though.

Grant show Amanda how to maximize her cleavage: You gotta reach in and pop 'dem titties out.

Hahahaha.

Cah-cah-creepy!

We left the party in Chinatown (look at Grant's back!!!), hopped in a cab and headed to the Village to check out....

...Misshapes! We snuck in the side entrance and headed right to the back office where I ran into Sarah "My Chemical Romance Fan" Lewittinn.

Sarah was helping someone fix the garter belt on their costume...

...Leigh was dressed up as the girl from Moulin Rouge.

And Geordon was dressed up as Christian from Moulin Rouge!

I figured that Greg would've joined in with Leigh and Geo and stuck with the Moulin Rouge theme, but he opted to dress like that creepy Peter Pan guy instead! Hahaha. (And Alexis was dressed up as Donatella Versace!!! Holy, Bonersville! Hahaha).

Me and Tinny.

The full-glory of our costumes!

Leigh wearing the scary wig that we all took turns trying on a few weeks ago.

I forget what this guy's name was but he dressed up as Frita Kahlo and it was epic.

Hahaha. Amazing.

Gurj and a bunch of her friends showed up dressed as Japanese Harajuku girls! Tee-hee-hee!

Scott dressed up as an angel (Victoria's Secret Angel?).

Ryan dressed up as Spiderman.

Ben Cho dressed up as Ben Cho.

Satine and Frita.

Mime and Mimette.

Late night: Tinny found a wheelchair outside and started wheeling herself around in laps.

Hahaha.

She ended up accidentally crashing into some drunk girl, and the drunk girl's girlfriend tried to start a fight with the Tins. Tins ended up getting into a little fisticuffs and ended up breaking her index finger! Hahahah. Look at her swollen sausage finger!

Amanda and Grant: 4am.

Me, doing my impression of Buckethead.

Sunday, October 30th

On Sunday I stopped by work to celebrate the launch of the new software platform that powered all of my company's community sites: a project that was over two years in the making!

They flipped the switch and we got to watch traffic flood onto the new servers in real time! (This is the type of thing that only nerds like me find exciting).

Right after the launch, Gunjan, who was in charge of development, got showered with champagne!

Monday, October 31st

Monday night was Halloween proper, but I was sorta burned out from the weekend so I decided to just go to a party that was local in my neighborhood. I ran into Natascha and her friend dressed up as old school hip-hoppers.

Hahahaha. Soooo amazing.

And then a whole crew of people that I had seen on Saturday night who were out again this time in different
costumes! Ben Cho (as Scary Bunny?), Geordon (as Adam Ant?), the Frida Kahlo guy (this time as a guy in a top hat?) And another girl I didn't know (dressed up as Freddy Kreuger meets Edward Scissorhands???).

Ben Cho with Amy K! (dressed up as a Crazy Cat Lady!!).

I left relatively early and when I hit the street I ran right into Meredith!

She was dressed up as "Girl Who Got Stood Up By Her Prom Date." Hahaha. I convinced her to get a drink with me and tried to convince her to give me a second chance.
