Amy Albano and I drove up to Vermonth to celebrate Jess D's 31st birthday.
(
Jess is one of the few people whose full names I can't use on
this site because she's the district psycologist a public school
system up in Vermont and a whole bunch of grade school kids that
have her Googled her and found pics of her partying
her tits off and puking from way back in college!)
Friday, November 11th

Amy and I on the way up. We stopped at BK and Amy decided to try...

...the weird new chicken sticks that come served in a vertical package
so that you can eat them out of your car's cupholder. Hahah.

By the time we got up there, it was almost 2am. A bunch of people had
been hanging out around a fire outside and when we showed up, most of
them were heading to bed.

Amy and I being the most sober, were left in
charge of putting the fire out.

Smokiest fire ever.

There were only four of us up late-night, so we decided to play a few hours of
poker.

Here's the birthday girl!

Amy was the big winner.
Saturday, November 12th

Saturday morning we woke up and started helping Jess prepare for her big bday
party. And we admired her awesome house that she rents that's right on a private
lake.

Check the view out of her living room.

Insane.

After getting all the food and beers for the party, we did a whole buncha
sitting around.

After a couple hours of relaxing, we decided to hike down the road a
bit from Jess's house and check out a nearby quarry.

A mountain of slate.

Which we decided to climb.

Last one up's a shit-burger!

The slate was really pretty. Made of up of all sorts of shades of grey,
blue and purple.

Haha.

Group shot on the top of the hill.

And here's us recreating a scene from The Outsiders.

The view from the top of the pile.

Homeward bound.

On the walk home it got really cold and I borrowed one of Amy's hats
and it instantly transformed me into a Swede. "Hallo, I am Johann Von
Hatsenfluergen."

Jess's dock at night.

So when we got back to the house, we started getting ready for the big
party. Putting all the food and booze out, getting another fire going
outside.

I ended up getting really drunk and leaving my camera in the kitchen
(which is a rarity - because usually no matter how drunk I get, I manage
to continually snap photos anyway). So these are the only two pics I
have from the party! Jess getting ready to blow out her birthday candles!

Happy 31st, Jessy D!
Sunday, November 13th

The next morning we cleaned up the mess!

And then Amy and I had to hit the road in the early afternoon so we could
make the long haul back to NYC.

Happy Birthday, Jess! We love you!
